How Many Diapers Do I Need?
The number of diapers needed varies based on the age of your child, and how often you want to wash diapers. Most people prefer to wash every 2-3 days. With this frequency of washes we recommend the following:
0-4 months - Younger babies will need more frequent diaper changes, and we suggest at least 24-30 diapers for this age. If you choose a system that includes diapers that need covers you should plan for a new cover every 3-5 changes. Approx 4-6 covers.
4-12 months - For this age we recommend 18-24 diapers and 4-6 covers. The older your baby gets the fewer diapers you will be changing.
12-24 months - We recommend 15-20 diapers and 3-5 covers for this age group.
Remember these numbers are just averages based on our experience. Every baby is different and while some babies will require more diapers this is a good starting point.
